B2B , Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) top office bearers stressed SMEDA to develop a B2B portal like Amazon and Alibaba for prompting e-commerce sector in Pakistan.

President of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), Mian Fazal Elahi Sheikh and Senior Vice President ,Mian Rashid Iqbal shared these views in a meeting held with SMEDA Provincial Chief, Javed Afzal who visited Multan Chamber.
MCCI President, Mian Fazal Elahi Sheikh said that SMEDA can build an e-commerce portal where locally made products can be introduced with complete information ensuring the quality of the products to buyers.
SMEDA’s Javed Afzal said that SMEDA had already established the SME Business Facilitation Center in the Trust Plaza of Multan.
The facilitation centre, managed by SMEDA, is acting as a one stop facility for the development requirements of SMEs of Multan regional. The Center is providing information, products and services related to marketing, technology, support in access to finance, regulatory compliance, business registration, corporatization, taxation, he added.

He further said that MCCI has also programmed networking with regional Chambers of Commerce & Industry (CCIs), Associations and Trade Bodies for improved working relationships and understanding of grassroots requirements leading to effective advocacy, program development and delivery.

According to a Customs Today report, the meeting was attended by Suhail Nazair Project Director, Regional Incharge Multan Centre Tasneem Bashir, Regional Business Coordinator Aleena Fayyaz Durrani. Former President of MCCI Khawaja Muhammad Usman, Aurangzeb Alamgir and acting Secretary-General Muhammad Shafiq.
